Our commitment is realized in the continual evaluations of our manufacturing processes, packaging designs and specifications, as well as our administrative systems. We constantly strive to reduce, recycle, and when possible eliminate waste in all areas of our business.

In addition, we evaluate our vendors and their products as we continue to promote a better environment. Our steel suppliers confirm the recycled content of their product can vary between 30% and 100%. Cardboard used in packaging designs on average includes 30% recycled material. In addition Gibraltar also recycles 100% of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum scrap and 90% of shipping materials.

Gibraltar uses the process of powder coating in the finishing of our product. Powder coat was developed as a more durable and environmentally friendly alternative to the wet/liquid paints. Powder coat paint emits zero (or near zero) Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), and any over spray in the process can be collected and re-used leading to almost no waste of product.
